A brief message from our
Chapter President, Sid Brown:

President Sid Brown
Welcome to our Website! We are glad you came for a visit!  I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve as President of EAA Chapter 172! I took my first airplane flight with my dad, O. B. Brown, when I was about 4 years old and have loved flying ever since. I currently fly a Quad City Challenger 1 light plane that was built by my dad in 1997. I have been to the EAA fly-in in Oshkosh once and the Lakeland Sun’n Fun fly-in many times. So, as you can see, I have been bitten by the aviation bug. I love flying machines! Flying them, working on them, watching them and talking about them. So I am anxious to do my part this year to promote all forms of aviation and I hope you will join me!
Please come visit us in person at the Pea Patch. Why not fly to the Pea Patch Aerodrome and enjoy the early Spring sunshine at the Pea Patch and then sit in the cozy comfort of the EAA 172 clubhouse. We meet once a month, usually on the second Saturday at 12:30 PM, followed by a brief business meeting and usually an interesting program / speaker / entertainer. Check our calendar as the schedule deviates to accomodate bi-annual breakfast fly-ins or other special events. We're in the people business but we're all about airplanes, too! Hope to see you soon!
