have been able to contact."
Ultralights, light planes, gyroplanes (gyrocopters), conventional aircraft, etc. all welcome.
"Food will be served both days on the field and we have plenty of parking for aircraft and cars. Should have good weather and good flying."
Driving directions:
Ron Awad's directions:
Directions from Aiken: Take
interstate I-20 east to Columbia. Then take interstate I-77 North to the
N.C./S.C. line. Just after crossing the state line exit onto Interstate I-485
Ramp and then take I-485 east. Follow 485 east 20 - 25 miles, and exit
at Lawyers Road - you have to exit here as the interstate is under construction
past this point. At the top of the ramp you want to turn RIGHT and you will
go about 4-5 miles - past a McDonalds! - and past a small gas station on
the right, the airport is directly off Lawyers Rd. and on the left
hand side. You will want to take the gravel road on the left side of the
runway back to the hangars near the far end of the runway. IF YOU MISS THIS
ROAD there is another gravel road on the right of the runway that you can
take as well and follow it around the runway. My hangar will be the
first one you come to past the FBO and maintenance hangar near the entrance.
